BullDogmatic — A Dog Blog by Christie Bleck

NOT ANOTHER DOG BLOG! Yes, it is. This blog celebrates the life of my late bulldog Tugboat (of course; did you expect another breed?) and other canines.

Tugboat will live forever

Tugboat will live forever

Tugboat

Tugboat
He's been called a JELLO-O mold that wouldn't gel, and I can see why.

The rare and elusive Swamp Pig

The rare and elusive Swamp Pig
The big guy in yet another appealing visage. Here he cools off and gets muddy at the same time.

Josie

Josie
This is Josie, our latest full-time addition. She is a former puppy miller and a BROWN Boston terrier. Maybe a recessive gene caused this, but she's darn cute!

Our new foster, SusieQ

Our new foster, SusieQ
This is our little foster dog, SusieQ, a tiny pug. Digby is still a bit jealous. Tugboat is fine with her, as is Josie. So, we will have to work on Digby.

Digby and the UglyDolls

Digby and the UglyDolls
Digby, like many small dogs, creates makeshift caves out of whatever's available. Here he hides among the UglyDolls.

Tonka, R.I.P.

Tonka, R.I.P.
This is Tugboat's little "brother," Tonka, as a puppy. Tonka came into our lives about six years ago, and died unexpectedly last summer following a dental extraction. I miss the Big Pig/Little Pig combo.

Tugboat Kravitz

Tugboat Kravitz
This is Tugboat's version of Lenny Kravitz with a longer 'do, which I created with Animal Planet's "Pimp Your Pooch" e-mail.

Tugboat of the Caribbean

Tugboat of the Caribbean
This is Tugboat's version of Johnny Depp, courtesy of Animal Planet.

Digby

Digby
Digby is Tugboat's "little brother." He replaced the pug Tonka, who died in 2007 after tooth surgery. Digby actually gets Tugboat to play--no small feat--and licks his dirty eyes, ears and jowls to keep him looking spiffy.

Couch zeppelin

Couch zeppelin
Here Tugboat slobbers up my slipcover; now I have a leather couch.
